Christina Zurowski

For more than 25 years, Christina has advised organizations across a wide range of industries—including real estate, manufacturing, distribution, services and not-for-profits—on a broad variety of Canadian sales tax matters. Drawing on her in-depth knowledge and understanding of commodity tax, she helps both Canadian and non-resident organizations meet their Canadian sales tax objectives.
In her role as Cross Border Sales Tax Leader for Doane Grant Thornton, Christina provides Canadian and non-resident organizations with the support and guidance they need to effectively manage their sales tax requirements.
Prior to joining Doane Grant Thornton, Christina worked in various financial roles as a controller and financial manager with companies such as the Dylex Group of Companies, American Express and Honeywell. She also ran her own firm for several years as well as working at another other advisory services firms.
Outside of the office, Christina is a regular speaker for organizations such as CPA Canada and both national and local chapters of the Tax Executives Institute. In addition to speaking on issues like audit support, the practical application of legislation and making sales tax user-friendly, she has published numerous papers for presentation at the CPA Canada GST/HST Symposium. In addition, Christina has also been a tutorial leader for the CPA Canada GST/HST in-depth tax course for more than 10 years.
