Biography

Damian joined the CPA Canada Board of Directors in September 2023. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at FYihealth group in Calgary. Damian started with FYi in 2024.  

Previously, Damian articled for Deloitte in Edmonton, and then moved to Fort McMurray to work for Syncrude Canada in various positions. Damian then moved to Red Deer in 2006 where he held various roles including CFO and COO with Studon Electric and Controls, prior to Studon selling to Stuart Olson. Following the sale to Stuart Olson, Damian joined Proform in a joint CFO/COO role and was promoted to the CEO of Proform before leaving in 2019 to join Peavey Industries LP from 2019-2024 where he was their CFO when he departed for FYihealth group. 

Damian has held numerous board roles, including Board Chair of Westerner Park, and director roles with the YMCA of Wood Buffalo, the United Way of Central Alberta, and most recently, the Habitat for Humanity Red Deer Region. 

Within the profession, Damian was elected to CPA Alberta’s Board of Directors in September 2016 and became the board’s Vice-Chair in 2019 and Board Chair in September 2021. Damian completed his term as Chair at the CPA Alberta AGM in September 2023.
